Anna Priefer (Smith), age 76, of Trotwood, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2026.

A 1969 graduate of Trotwood High School, Anna spent much of her life caring for others, both personally and professionally. She had a passion for cooking and found great joy in feeding anyone and everyone she could. Whether preparing meals for family, friends, or others in her community, Anna showed her love through food. From the practice Thanksgiving in October to just a random Tuesday in May, she made food to make people happy. No one ever had to worry about leaving Anna's table hungry.

Her love of feeding others extended into her professional life, where she served as the Food Service Director at Jefferson Township Schools. Through her work, she had the opportunity to care for generations of students, sharing her gift of making sure others were well fed.

Anna is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Dan Priefer; her children, Adam (Mandy) Priefer, Sarah (Donny) Gayman, and Josh Priefer; and her three grandsons, Tommy, Owen, and Charlie. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her brother, Bill (Susan) Smith, and her sister, Bonnie. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul, and her sister, Darlene.

Anna will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her memory will live on through the love she shared, the meals she prepared, and the countless people she welcomed to her table.

Anna was ecstatic to see the Blue Wave that happened on Tuesday and was happy she got to see it.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life Open House on Friday, December 11th starting at 3pm.
