Angeline Mary "Jean" Kranz, age 91, a longtime resident of Huber Heights, Ohio, passed away December 14, 2020. She was born August 17, 1929 in Stearns County, Minnesota. Jean was preceded in death by her mother, Victoria Schlichting Hagerty of Royalton, Minnesota; and husband, Albert Kranz on July 4, 2012.
Jean is survived by her sisters: Jacqueline A. Stephens of Huber Heights, Ohio and Sylvia Falteisek of Hagen City, Wisconsin; and brothers: James R. Hagerty of Sartell, Minnesota and Kevin J. Hagerty of Blaine, Minnesota.
Jean was a charter member of St. Peter Church in Huber Heights, Ohio and a very active member for many organizations including: Dayton Catholic Women's Club, Dayton Business and Professional Club, National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE), Red Hat, Senior Center Huber Heights as a Receptionist. Jean donated her life to many organizations and truly enjoyed helping others.
Jean was born at home, Brockway Twp., Stearns County, Minnesota, attended St. Cloud Teachers College and retired from HQUSAFE Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany. Jean enjoyed traveling and hosting all the family reunions in Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 6161 Chambersburg Road, Huber Heights. Her burial will follow in Washington Union Cemetery, Pierceton, Indiana.
The family especially wishes to thank Charles and Joyce Sexton, John and Barb Hoeft, Bob Blumgold, and Deacon Dave McCray for their friendship and support given to both Al and Jean. Also a very special thank you to the caring staff at Hearth and Home of Vandalia for the last 8 years.
