Listen to Obituary

Andrew Robert Schwieterman, a loving husband, devoted father, and proud veteran, passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 37. Born on December 4, 1987, Andrew brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. He was known for his contagious smile and charming dimples, and being the life of the party. He was always a good and true friend, and enjoyed being the “fun” uncle.

He served his country proudly as an Infantryman in the United States Army during the Iraq conflict. Through his service, he demonstrated a commitment to his nation that was as honorable as his devotion to his family and friends. His loyalty was evident in every aspect of his life, creating bonds that were both strong and lasting.

Andrew’s warm personality shone brightly in his hobbies. He found happiness in kayaking wherever there was moving water, and cherished family get-togethers where laughter was abundant. He was not only an enthusiastic participant but also excelled at playing cards, bringing out the competitive spirit in his loved ones.

He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Katelyn, and their two cherished daughters, Gretchen, age 7, and Mieka, age 6. He is also lovingly remembered by his mother, Elaine Sochacki (Keith); his father, Joseph Schwieterman (Gina); his father, Patrick Sullivan; and his siblings: Joseph Schwieterman (Jessica), Jessica Karns (Eric), Dakota Sochacki (Justice), Dalton Sochacki (Melaina), Molly Sullivan (Travis), Skyler Sochacki, Chase Sochacki, Brittany Hayes, Travis Hayes (Lori), and David Mohr (Sofi). Additionally, he leaves behind his grandmothers, Judy Schwieterman and Irene Sochacki, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family, and friends.

Andrew was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Florence Swanger and Marylou Sullivan; his grandfather, Bill Schwieterman; his mother-in-law, Amanda Gebhart; his nephew, Junie; and his uncle, Frank Schwieterman.

He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered for his kindness, humor, and the love he shared so freely with his family and friends.
