Andrea L. Pierce, a fervent animal lover, dedicated customer service representative, and talented artist, passed away unexpectedly on October 20, 2025, in her beloved hometown of Dayton, Ohio. Born on June 15, 1971, Andrea spent her life brightening the days of those around her and passionately advocating for the voiceless creatures of our world.
During her career as a customer service representative, Andrea became a cherished member of her workplace family. Because of her infectious warmth and genuine care for others she was often considered a favorite among her colleagues. They admired her ability to listen empathetically, go above and beyond for customers, and always infuse a sense of joy and laughter into her interactions.
Andrea's heart overflowed with love for her many pets, each one a testament to her zealous spirit and her aspiration to one day establish an animal rescue center on a sprawling piece of land. Her obsession with adopting more animals spoke to her gentle nature; she believed every creature deserved a place to call home. Friends and family will fondly remember her unique advocacy: she was a passionate defender of all living beings, even the tiniest of insects, urging a peaceful coexistence rather than extermination.
A multi-talented individual, Andrea exhibited her artistic flair from a young age. Her skillful drawings created in high school blossomed into passion for art that brought color and warmth to those fortunate enough to view her work.
Her loving memory will forever endure in the hearts of her cherished family members. She is survived by her beloved daughter Mia (Joshua) Couch and her cherished grandson Mordecai Couch. Andrea’s nurturing spirit is also carried on by her devoted mother Carole Pierce, her caring brother Christopher (Janice) Pierce, and her sister Denise (Scott) Combs. She held dear the vibrant bonds with her nieces, Caitlyn (Brad) Gallagher and Savannah (Ethan) Alumbaugh. Andrea's myriad pets, as well as her extended family and many dear friends, will continue to feel the impact of her love and warmth long after her tragic passing.
Andrea is reunited in spirit with her late father, Donnell Pierce, Jr., whose presence will be forever felt and her fiancé, Chares Kling.
A visitation will be held in her honor at Newcomer Funeral Home in Kettering, Ohio, on November 1, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service celebrating her life at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, in Andrea's memory.
As we gather to remember Andrea, let us take solace in the joy she brought into our lives, her unwavering love for animals, and her artistic legacy that will forever inspire those who had the privilege to know her.
