Ana Isabel Saliva-Agostini

Filled with grace and an endless kindness, Ana “Anita” Isabel was an amazing woman and mother who loved to sing, dance, cook, and write poetry. She was the kindest, most loving mother, who always sacrificed her needs for her children, family and friends, and whose never-ending compassion often led her to care for strayed animals. Her selflessness knew no limits. She had a genuine gift to love and support and always lit up the room with a vivacious smile and her signature bright-red lips; one could not help but smile when she was near! Her voice was melodic and sweet, like an angel’s. Foremost in her heart was her faith and an eternal love of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, Anita was the first born of Alfredo Saliva Sacarello and Ana Agostini Vazquez. In 1970, she married Jesus (“Jay”) Fernandez (d. 2023) and they had three children: Cynthia (OH), and twins Clara (TX) and Christian (PR). She leaves behind 5 grandchildren: Cyndi, Brianna, Rachel, Sebastian, and Austin, all of TX.

Anita leaves behind her sister, Ligia Concepcion "Conchita" DelPrado Saliva (Jose “Cuqui”) (PR). She was also sister to Freddy Salivia (d. 2021) of Miami, Fl; Otto Saliva (d.2004) of Vega Baja, PR and Nereida Saliva Lowery of FL (d.2008).

Anita’s legacy of love and compassion will live forever. The family is filled with sorrow but takes solace in knowing Anita is watching them from above and is resting in Peace.

The family will hold a Santa Misa in her hometown of Mayaguez, PR. Details will be shared at a later date. Anita crossed peacefully into the Lord’s Kingdom on 8 July with her eldest daughter, Cynthia, by her side at The Trinity Community in Beavercreek, Ohio. We will always and forever “Love You More Than Cheesecake,” Mami.

Llena de gracia y de una bondad infinita, Ana «Anita» Isabel fue una mujer y madre extraordinaria a quien le encantaba cantar, bailar, cocinar y escribir poesía. Era una madre sumamente bondadosa y cariñosa que siempre anteponía las necesidades de sus hijos, familiares y amigos a las suyas propias, y cuya compasión inagotable la llevaba a menudo a cuidar de animales abandonados. Su generosidad no conocía límites. Poseía un don genuino para amar y brindar apoyo, y siempre iluminaba el ambiente con una sonrisa vivaz y sus característicos labios de un rojo intenso; ¡era imposible no sonreír cuando ella estaba cerca! Su voz era dulce y melodiosa, como la de un ángel. En lo más profundo de su corazón residían su fe y un amor eterno hacia nuestro Señor y Salvador, Jesucristo.

Nacida en Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, Anita fue la primogénita de Alfredo Saliva Sacarello y Ana Agostini Vázquez. En 1970 contrajo matrimonio con Jesús («Jay») Fernández (fallecido en 2023) y tuvieron tres hijos: Cynthia (Ohio) y los gemelos Clara (Texas) y Christian (Puerto Rico). Deja cinco nietos: Cyndi, Brianna, Rachel, Sebastián y Austin, todos ellos residentes en Texas.

A Anita le sobrevive su hermana, Ligia Concepción "Conchita" DelPrado Saliva (esposa de José "Cuqui", de Puerto Rico). También fue hermana de Freddy Salivia (fallecido en 2021), de Miami, Florida; Otto Saliva (fallecido en 2004), de Vega Baja, Puerto Rico; y Nereida Saliva Lowery (fallecida en 2008), de Florida.

El legado de amor y compasión de Anita perdurará para siempre. La familia está llena de pesar, pero encuentra consuelo al saber que Anita los observa desde lo alto y descansa en paz.

La familia celebrará una Santa Misa en su ciudad natal de Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Los detalles se comunicarán más adelante. Anita partió en paz hacia el Reino del Señor el 8 de julio, acompañada por su hija mayor, Cynthia, en The Trinity Community en Beavercreek, Ohio. Siempre y por toda la eternidad te diremos: «Te queremos más que al cheesecake», Mami.
