Ana M. Haug, age 84, of Fairborn, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024.
Ana was born September 18, 1939 in Segovia, Spain to the late Vidal and Rufina Almendariz. She was raised in Madrid, Spain.
She met the love of her life, John William while he was stationed at Torrejon AFB, Spain. They were married in November 1962 at the Iglesia Parroquial de San Miguel Arcanaes in Madrid, Spain. Out of their love, their son John and daughter Ana were born. Their son John married Jo Ann Sullivan and blessed them with two beautiful grandchildren; Jaxson and John. Their daughter Ana blessed them with three beautiful grandchildren; William, Andrew, and Matthew. Her grandchildren will remember her as Wita, a sweet, loving and doting grandmother.
She enjoyed her friends, casinos, dancing, singing and naps. She was a faithful member of the Catholic community. Our Lady Queen of Peace parish at Wright Patterson AFB enjoyed her service as a Eucharistic minister and active participant in their fellowship community. Her unshakeable faith in God and her family enabled her to persevere and overcome the many obstacles that she faced throughout her life.
She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always "loved you more".
Public visitation to be held at Prairies Chapel, WPAFB (6568 Chapel Lane, Riverside, OH 45431) on Thursday April 18, 2024 at 10:00 am with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest with the love of her life on Friday April 19, 2024 at 10:00 am at Dayton National Cemetery.
