Amy L. Wagerman

July 29, 1957 — October 24, 2024

Centerville

Amy L. (Elder) Wagerman (67) of Centerville, Ohio passed away on October 24, 2024, from a 5-year long battle with Cancer and Advanced COPD. She leaves behind her Husband of 50 years Terry; her son Derrick (Jill); granddaughter, Grace; sisters Ann (Stan) Sparkman; Peggy Rogers; stepmother, Angi Elder; several nieces, nephews, cousins, stepbrothers, and stepsisters; brothers in law Bob; George (Vetta) Wagerman; Steve Hayre; Mark Canning in Texas. Also, an uncle in Bainbridge, Jim Houseman.

Amy is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Elder and Mother Alice (Housman) Hughes and Stepfather Sam Hughes.

Amy was Co-Owner of A&T Ornamental Iron in Miamisburg. Her and Terry worked side by side in their business that they started more than 30 years ago.

Amy loved to travel, one of her favorite places was Hawaii. On a family vacation there was a stop off in Vegas so dad could marry stepmother Angi. Then off to the honeymoon. Nothing like going on the honeymoon with your parents.

In Amy’s early years she loved to roller skate at Beaver Vu Skating rink along with her sisters, even competing in many competitions. Our father was the Manager at the time.

Amy had a love for Tie Dye shirts that started from a friend of Derrick’s, Travis. Whenever someone went on an adventure, they would bring her back one.

There will be a Celebration of Life/Luncheon on December 7 from 12 to 3 pm at Delco Park Meeting Place (1707 Delco Park Dr., Kettering, OH). Keeping her of love of Tie Die or Hawaii in mind, please come and honor Amy by wearing a Tie Dye or Hawaiian shirt, if you have one available.

In lieu of flowers, Amy asked that you make a donation to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, your favorite animal charity or Hospice of Dayton.

We would like to thank Dayton Hospice for the care that Amy and our family received while there.
