Amaryillis J. Carter, lovingly known as “Pickle,” was born on November 20, 1968, and passed away on January 13, 2026, after a long period of illness. She was born to the late Otis Jr., and Jacqueline Carter. She departed this life surrounded by love and will be forever remembered for her gentle spirit.
She accepted Christ in her life at a young age and was a member of Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church. Amaryillis was a graduate of Dunbar High School and later attended Sinclair Community College. She dedicated many years of service to working at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where she was known as a hardworking, dependable, and loyal employee until illness made it no longer possible for her to continue working.
Family was extremely important to Amaryillis, and she truly enjoyed being surrounded by her loved ones. In her quiet moments, she found joy in completing word search books, shopping, and watching her favorite television shows. She also had a deep love for her dog, Levi, who brought her comfort and companionship.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis Jr. and Jacqueline Carter, and sister, Celeste Carter.
Amaryillis leaves to cherish her memories, her sisters; Annette Carter, Janeen (Gregory) Hill, Monica (Jewell) Wilson, and Ilene Carter; her brothers, Ivan and Wesley Carter; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will continue to honor her life and legacy.
She will be remembered for her love of family, her kind heart, and the simple pleasures that brought her happiness. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
