Amanda R. Cheers Severt

Amanda R. Cheers Severt, age 44 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. She was born September 4, 1980 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of Bill and Sandra Cheers. She graduated from Stebbins High School, class of 1998. Amanda was a devoted wife and mother of 3. Her family was her world. She had a strong faith and love in Jesus. Amanda enjoyed time spent outdoors camping, fishing, Kayaking, and spending time with her family. She liked Gardening and grew anything from flowers to fruits and vegetables. Amanda was a creative person and liked to build miniatures and taking on different craft projects. She was a real Dog person and loved her canine companions. She enjoyed volunteering at Beavertown Elementary. Amanda went through her life with a kind heart and would always be there to help someone in need. When she received her cancer diagnosis she was a strong, resilient fighter. She courageously battled it for two years and never gave up or let it slow her down. She will be deeply missed and will always be loved by her family and friends.

Amanda is survived by her husband, James Severt; Daughter, Ireland Higgins; Sons, Aiden Severt, and Desmond Severt; Sisters, Kelly (Jay) Nash, and Cassandra (Bryon) Ward; Parents, Bill Cheers, and Sandra Cheers; Mother-In-Law, Sue Severt; Father-In-law, Daniel Severt; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to her family to defray funeral costs.

A memorial service will be held Saturday August 2, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439).
