Amanda Christine "Mandy" Carr

Amanda Christine "Mandy" Carr, age 43, our Angel was called home on August 21, 2025, to be with our loving God.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Christine Johnson, Gene Raffel, and James & Elizabeth Carr; and her uncle, Dan Raffel.

She is survived by her loving parents, Rick and Debbie Carr; sister, Rachel (Matt) Dunn; nephew & niece, Alexander and Kinsley (whom she adored!); aunt, Kathy Smith; as well as numerous cousins & loved ones; and her honorary "aunts", Cheryl, Sherri and Carolyn.

Amanda was one of God's special angels. She brought joy and love to anyone who took time to love on her. She could give a bear hug, like no other, and not let go. Anyone that knew her, knew her love for "whiskey" (aka, Pepsi), Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan and good ole' Willie Nelson. She spent her days watching the Flintstones, Disney movies and listening to her music, while playing with her musical toys.

She had no shame in using her antics to get M&M's, Esther Price, cookies, coffee or donuts. She loved hot Chinese and coffee, thanks to Melvin. She loved it when Aunt Kathy, Krysta, Kara and Katelyn came to town. It meant she got coffee!

We will forever be grateful God chose us to be your Mom & Dad, and for all the unconditional love you gave to everyone. You touched the lives of many. You let your light shine. We can't wait for the day we will all be together again. We will forever love you!

Donations may be made in her memory to the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities Services, 8114 North Main Street, Dayton, OH, 45415.

Visitation will be held from 11:30am-1:00pm, on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where Funeral Services will begin at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton.
