Alvada "Vada" Stanley

Alvada "Vada" Stanley, age 83, peacefully passed from this world on Monday, November 2, 2026 at 12:37 am. She went as stubborn as she was, knowing we all had her and we were all there together. The thing she cherished most, was her family. She was born March 15, 1943 in Paintsville, KY.

She leaves behind 4 sons: Allen (Jessica) Sarven, Rod (Pam) Stanley, Chris (Jill) Sarven and Conley (Jennifer Roberts) Stanley, III; grandchildren: Aaron and Ava Stanley, Brittany Sarven, Jacob (Erin) Sarven, Korey (Beth) Sarven, Shelbey (Joe) Hilleary, Austin Stanley, Matt (Michelle) Stanley, Brandi (Ken) Hatter, II, Stephen (Brittany) Brown, Justin (Emily) Stanley, Tiffany Clevelle and Traci Williams, Kyle and Even Gousha; great-grandchildren: Cooper, Bennett, Noah, Nora, Savannah and Paige; brothers: Keith, Kevin and Kenny, Jr.; many nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly as she did them.

She was preceded in death by parents: Missouri and Kenneth Rice; husband, Conley Stanley, Jr.; son, Dave Stanley; daughter and son-in-law: Donna and Pat Williams; and daughter-in-law, Donna Farmer McFarland.

Vada worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital for 15 years, Miami Valley Hospital for 10 years, she was a School Bus Driver and a Bailiff with Lima Municipal Court. Her last years were spent in Real Estate with Coldwell Banker. She was with them for 20 years and felt it was her true calling. She loved to sell houses or help people find their dream home. She made life long friends in this occupation.

Vada was so loved and will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 pm on Tuesday, November 10, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, OH, where the funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
