Alma Duelene Allen, born on October 15, 1945, in Wilder, Tennessee, passed away on January 26, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio. Alma was known for her ornery spirit and good sense of humor, making her a joy to be around. She retired from PNC after many years of service.
Alma found joy in line dancing, even dedicating time to teach others the steps. She enjoyed making things with her hands-especially crocheting. In her younger days, she played the violin. Alma was a woman of strong faith and firm political beliefs, she lived her life according to her principles.
Her greatest treasures were her family. Alma is survived by her children, Deena (Keith) Collins, Thomas (Daphne) Allen III, and Richard Allen. She was a proud grandmother to Dawnn (Marc) Caporale, Doug (Jessica) Collins, Dakota (Josh Smith) Allen, Devinn (David Sollmann) Allen, Clayton (Cheyenne) Hemmerick, Krystn Allen, Rickey (Megan) Allen, Abbey Hemmerick, and Justin Hemmerick. Alma also had the joy of being a great-grandmother to 24 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandmother to 2 little ones. Her brother, Oscar Patrick and nephew, James Patrick also survives her, carrying on the family legacy.
Alma was preceded in death by her father, Harry Patrick; mother, Imogene Livesay; step-father, Robert Livesay; infant son, Thomas Ray Allen II; sister-in-law, Sue Patrick; and niece, Lean. As we remember Alma, we hold close the warm memories of her kind heart and spirited nature that brought so much joy to her family and friends. She will be missed dearly.
