Alice Marie Tackett

Alice Marie Tackett, age 75, of Dayton, passed away at home on July 11, 2025. Alice was born in West Carrollton, Ohio on May 25, 1950 to the late Gordon and Rosemary Humerick.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; great-granddaughter, Elaina Ayers; as well as her 4 sisters.

She is survived by husband of 48 years, Dwight Tackett; daughter, Tracie (Tony) Ayers; son, Larry Dennis; step-daughter, Regina Bohman; step-son, Dwight Tackett; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; 1 sister and 6 brothers; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Alice attended West Carrollton High School. She was a member of the VFW Post 3438 for many years.

In her free time, she enjoyed car rides with Dwight and loved watching deer. Alice never missed the opportunity to spend time with her family. She would listen without casting judgment. She was always a call away and always had a shoulder to cry on if you needed it. Alice would always try to make you laugh or smile no matter what she was going through, she wanted the people she loved so dearly around her to know by word and action that she loved them and would do anything for them.

Alice was kind, caring, dependable, funny and above all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandma and great-great grandma and sister. Alice will be greatly and deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 2:00pm-3:00pm on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek), where funeral services will begin at 3:00pm.
