Alice Gayle Smith, age 74, of Dayton, passed away on August 2, 2025, at her residence, with her family by her side. She was born on January 8, 1951, the daughter of the late Archie and Rosemary Walls.
She is survived by her beloved husband, James T. Smith; and her sons, James Smith & Ben Smith.
Alice worked in the Classified/Obituary Department for Dayton Daily News for over 25 years.
Visitation will be held from 1:00pm-2:00pm, on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where the Funeral Service will begin at 2:00pm.
