Alice (Alex) Hollst, born on May 4, 1996, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away on March 14, 2026, in Springfield, Ohio. Her departure has left a profound void in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her vibrant spirit and boundless kindness continue to resonate deeply within the hearts she touched.
Alice was a person of remarkable warmth and joy, cherished for her loving nature, quick wit, and the biggest, kindest heart anyone had ever known. She had an extraordinary gift for making everyone around her feel important, seen, and loved. Her laughter and generosity were lights in the lives of family, friends, and community alike, creating a legacy of compassion that will endure.
From her early days attending Beavercreek High School to her lifelong passions, Alice embraced creativity and curiosity with open arms. She was a proud member of the Hero Forge Mini Community, where she earned the affectionate title “The Queen” for her exceptional dedication and artistry. Alice had a deep love for crafting miniatures, building with Legos, and fascinated by trains—each hobby revealing her meticulous attention to detail and boundless imagination.
A self-taught musician, Alice taught herself to play piano by ear and delighted in composing music for video games, a testament to her talent and innovation. She found joy and escape in playing video games on her PS5 and Nintendo Switch, where her enthusiasm was as infectious as her smile.
Alice’s family and friends were central to her life. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted mother, Denise Hollst; her loving girlfriend, Emery; her grandparents, Suzie and Jon Robertson; and her uncle, Brian (the late Barb) Wells. Also held close in her heart was George, her furbaby cat, a cherished companion through the years.
Those who knew Alice will remember the way she showed love for everyone she encountered, no matter the circumstance. Her capacity for kindness, laughter, and authenticity made her a beacon of light and a source of unwavering support.
A visitation to honor Alice’s memory will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio. This gathering will offer all who loved her the opportunity to share memories and celebrate a life lived with extraordinary gentleness and joy.
Though Alice’s presence is dearly missed, her spirit lives on in the creative works she crafted, the music that fills the air, and the countless lives deeply touched by her love. Through every miniature she created, every melody she played, and every act of kindness she bestowed, Alice (Alex) Hollst’s legacy remains a beautiful testament to the power of an open heart.
