Agnes Marie Jenkins

August 2, 1933 — October 22, 2020

Agnes M. Jenkins "Aggie", age 87 of Bellbrook, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2020. She was born on August 2, 1933 in Evansville, IN to the late James H. and Nellie B. (Devore) Courtney. In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James L. Jenkins; sisters, Rosie, JoAnn, Carolyn and Susie.

She is survived by her children, Terri (Ed) Piergies and Jimmy Jenkins; grandchildren, Brett Reasoner and Brittany Reasoner; great-granddaughter, Brianna Reasoner; brother, Jim (Cathy) Courtney and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Aggie's love of people, especially children, was second to none. Her "job" was child care but truly it was her calling. She was a "Mom" to many and was generous with her time and care to generations of many families. Aggie never knew a stranger, easily made lifelong friends and had a heart twice the size of her five foot frame. Aggie had an extra special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She loved all animals, enjoyed gardening, watching movies and putting together puzzles. Aggie and Jim loved traveling across the country with Terri, Jimmy and pets each year to visit family. Aggie's now with the angels in Heaven but everyone that knew her felt she was already an angel here on earth.

A Celebration of Aggie's Life will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2020 from 1-3 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd. Dayton, OH 45459) with a memorial service to begin at 3 PM.

If desired, contributions may be made to SICSA, in Aggie's memory.
