Adam Wade Simmons, beloved husband, cherished friend, and gentle soul, passed away tragically and unexpectedly on June 19, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio. Born on November 17, 1977, in Lancaster, Ohio, Adam filled nearly 49 years with a spirit marked by warmth, kindness, and devotion to those he loved.

From the earliest days of his life in Lancaster, Adam was known as someone who radiated goodness. Family and friends gravitated toward him, drawn by his gentle presence and sincere nature. Adam’s capacity for meaningful connection left an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Adam’s marriage to Tabitha Simmons was a luminous chapter in his life—a partnership built not just on love and laughter but a deep, abiding respect. Together, they weathered life’s triumphs and tribulations, drawing strength from each other. Tabitha was Adam’s confidante, his compass, and his constant support.

Adam’s circle of loved ones extended beyond family, embracing a network of friends whose lives he touched profoundly. Among those carrying his memory forward are his loving children Shania (Jesse) Hoy, Dominic (McKenna) Zannetti, Kaden Knick, Kaylee Bozarth, and Braden Crawford; mother, Brenda Ebert; brother, Bill Sullivan; mother-in-law, Cindy Farabee; grandchildren; Layla, Weston, Zoey, Axel, Jesse Jr., Emma, Waylon, and Weston; and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Every friendship Adam nurtured was an example of his remarkable generosity of spirit and unwavering loyalty. His presence filled rooms with brightness, and his genuine care lifted those around him.

Adam was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Austin Swartz; sister, Nicole Johnston; cherished aunt and uncle, Sharon and Keith Bowers; and aunt Bettes Kilbarger.

Though words cannot capture the true depth of loss felt by those Adam leaves behind, they can honor the way he lived. Adam’s legacy is written in shared laughter, moments of quiet understanding, a comforting hand laid gently on a shoulder. He is remembered not only in stories and photographs but in every heart that aches for his absence.

In his free time, Adam enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. The Smokey Mountains held a special place in his heart as this was where countless memories were made with his loved ones. Adam will be remembered for his hard-working spirit and ability to bring a smile to everyone he would meet.

As we gather to remember Adam, we hold close the irreplaceable gifts he gave us—patience, warmth, and the enduring lesson that kindness leaves an echo long after we are gone. In our sorrow, we also find gratitude: for his time here, for the love he gave so freely, and for the memories that will forever bind us together.

Adam Wade Simmons’ journey may have come to a close far too soon, but the ripples of his life will continue to touch and inspire all who knew him. He is missed beyond measure, loved beyond words, and remembered in every act of compassion we carry forward in his name.
