Virginia Kress , 92, passed away peacefully at her great - granddaughter's home on Saturday September 9, 2017 in Kettering, Ohio. Virginia was born on July 24, 1925 in Dayton, Ohio.
She is preceded by her parents, Homer and Gertrude Powell; first husband, Lawrence "Cotton" Jones (1956); second husband, Dale Kress (2008); 3 brothers; Great-Granddaughter, Christel Lehmkuhl.
She is survived by Daughter, Karen Broughton; Grandchildren, Tina Copley, Joel Lehmkuhl, Pam Leonard; Great-Grandchilden, Ashley Boger, Mark and Chelsea Brewer; Great-Great-Grandchildren, Angel and William; Brother Ronnie Powell.
Family will receive friends at David's Cemetery 4600 Mad River Dr. Kettering, Ohio 45429 on Friday September 15, 2017 from 1pm - 2pm, the funeral to follow at 2pm. She will be laid to rest at David's Cemetery. Messages of condolences may be left at www.NewcomerDayton.com
