1942 - 2023

Robert G. "Bob" Kinsey, age 80, of Huber Heights, passed away May 22, 2023. He was born December 23, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Gerald and Edith Kinsey. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Kinsey; and step-daughters: Deb May and Julia Simpson.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Dee (Joel) Florence; grandchildren: Shauntae (Larry) Page, Nicholas Roark, Robert Roark, Christopher Adams, Steven Adams and Jamie Puckett; great-grandchildren: Carmen, Benjamin and Jackson; sister, Beverly Campbell; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and was a highly decorated Vietnam War airman. He was awarded the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Vietnam Campaign Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He was an avid pilot, skydiver and shooting enthusiast. Bob loved animals, fishing, candle making and making people laugh.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third Street, Dayton, Committal Shelter A.
