Paul Richard "Rick" Hubbert
1951 - 2023

Paul Richard "Rick" Hubbert, age 71, of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2023. He was born in Springfield, Ohio, on April 27, 1951, the son of the late Paul L. Hubbert and Dorothy M. Hess.

He is survived by his wife, Mary F. Cheers; step-brother, Steve (Barb) Hess; and many other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Rick graduated from Greenon High School, class of 1969. He attended Wright State University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and his Master’s in Computer Science.

He retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base where he was a Database Administrator for NASIC. Rick was also the recipient of the Meritorious Civilian Service Award (MCSA). He was a member of the Mad Bladers, the Nashville Songwriters Association and the Kittyhawk Ski Club for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed multiple activities, including roller blading, biking, skiing, driving his Toyota MR2 convertible and playing pickleball and disc golf. Rick was also a very talented musician, gourmet chef and he was a member of the Black Box Improv Group.

He was known for his quick wit, sense of humor and adventurous spirit.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Miamisburg Church of the Nazarene, 1216 Richard St., Miamisburg, OH 45342, beginning at 10:00am. A Memorial Service will start at 11:00am, with a time for fellowship to follow until 2:00pm.
