Susan Ann Wallace, 75, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023. She was born on September 11, 1947, in Winchester, Indiana to Robert L Wallace and Edna Mae (Smith) Wallace, who are deceased.

Susan graduated from Driver High School in Winchester and Indiana University. In high school, Susan was active in theater and musical productions. After IU, Susan moved to New York City to work at Macy’s. While living in NYC, Susan had many jobs and careers. Eventually she became the President of People Resources, “the private club for remarkable single people.” Before the internet and dating apps, People Resources, “helped thousands of successful singles achieve their relationship goals. Whether you wish to expand your social life or find that special someone, we can do the same for you,” read the ads in New York magazine and other publications.

Susan was herself a “remarkable single” person when she returned to Winchester, in part to help care for her parents. She reconnected with her high school sweetheart Steve Suddeth. On May 15, 2015, during the 50th reunion of their high school graduating class, Susan and Steve were married in the Randolph County courthouse. Classmate, Judge Peter Haviza, officiated and dozens of classmates attended the ceremony. Steve survives in Dayton, Ohio. He was a source of joy and strength for Susan, especially during her final illness.

Susan dreamed big dreams, and had the courage to pursue them. She knew both success and failure. She could dominate a room full of people through the force of her personality. She will be missed.

Susan is survived by five siblings: Mary (Jim Ellsworth) Essling of Punta Gorda, FL, David (Pat) Wallace of Yorktown, IN, Kevin (Ann Marie) Wallace of Auburn, IN, Brian Wallace of Winchester, IN and Conan (Kathy) Wallace of Winchester, IN. She is survived by 12 nieces and nephews, most of whom have an Aunt Susan story, a stepson, Jacob Bonham, of Huber Heights, OH, and close friend Linda Campbell.

Per her wishes, there will be no public memorial service for Susan.
