Willie J. Span, age 64, of Huber Heights, went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2022. He was born on January 5, 1958 to Willie and Ruby J. Span.

He served his country proudly as a military police officer in the United States Army. He was a long-time member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. He was a chef and loved his job. He was an amazing cook and learned a lot from his mother. He had a great sense of humor and wit. He also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. His presence will be truly missed by those that love him.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents: Willie and Ruby J. Span; his sister, Kimether L. Manjang; his niece, Shelby Kellum; and his nephew, Shane Hall.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife of 11 years, Jina A. Span; sisters: Cynthia Jones and Rosalind (James) Maupins; brother-in-law: Paul Hull Jr.; sister-in-law: Robin Hull; nieces: Lydia, Madalyn, Jocelyn, Christina, Mariah, and Makayla; nephews: Dennis (Kelli), Jamal (Aylissa), Marcus, Paul, Josh, Jeremiah, Matthew, Anthony, and Brian; great-nieces and great-nephews including Genesis and Judah; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.

Family and Friends are welcome to gather from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, Ohio. A memorial service will begin at 1:00pm, officiated by Pastor Bryant.
