Martha Sue McCarthy “Moe”, age 77 of Kettering, passed away Monday, November 21, 2022 at her home. She was born on June 7, 1945 in Muhlenberg Co., Kentucky to the late Max and Anne Mohon. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis J. McCarthy.
Martha is survived by her children, Dennis McCarthy, Scott Williams, Sean McCarthy, Karen Earley, Mary McCarthy and Colin McCarthy; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Martha is a 1963 Belmont High School Graduate and later attended Western Kentucky University. She enjoyed flowers, Bingo, quilting, baking, reading, card club, going to the movies, watching UD Women's Basketball, and anything to do with Elvis. She also loved Sunday dinners at Old Hickory and antique shopping. Martha had the most beautiful smile. She was friendly, social, and will always be remembered for her crazy red hair.
The most important thing to Martha was spending quality time with her husband, grandchildren, and her pets. She especially loved to watch her children and grandchildren play sports. Martha is loved and will be deeply missed by all those who knew her. The family hopes those who would like to honor her will find a quiet time to remember she was in your life and be thankful for the time you had together
