In Memory Of
Kathy Castle
1941 - 2022
Kathy grew up in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. She was an adventurous, independent spirit who loved to travel and share stories about traveling. She enjoyed visiting with family and her many friends throughout the US. Kathy worked as a typesetter for 15 years. Her true professional passion was working as a substitute teacher, which she did until she retired. Kathy graduated with honors from Wright State University with a BA in German. She was fluent in German and enjoyed teaching the language to anyone she met. Among her many hobbies were music and singing, and collecting tea cups, beanie babies, postcards and other memorabilia.
Kathy is preceded in death by her husband Vernon Richard Churchill Castle and sister Jane Nixon. She is survived by her loving family, including her children, Carla Koebberling and Thomas Koebberling with his wife Robin (Keener) Koebberling; her brother James Lewis with his wife Stella Lewis; grandchildren Alex Koebberling with his wife Lizzy (Sizemore) Koebberling, Ben Leibrock, Alex Stern with his wife Rachel (Dodson) Stern, Dakota Leibrock and Thomas Koebberling; and many other nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the dedicated and caring staff at River Oaks Memory Care and Vitas Hospice for their wonderful support of Mom.
A Gathering of Friends and Family will be Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, OH 45459). A Funeral Service will immediately follow beginning at 2:00pm.
