Joanna Pearl Moody, age 89 of Beavercreek, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Preserve at Beavercreek. She was born May 26, 1933 in Princeton, West Virginia the daughter of Joseph "Woody" and Josephine Hazelwood.

Joanna was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church where she taught children's church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gladney Wayne Moody and sisters, Elaine Hazelwood and Helen Nuckols.

Joanna is survived by her children, Steve (Paula) Moody, Tawana (Dave) Matulka and Donna (Joel) Mangas; grandchildren, Joshua Moody, Melissa Moody, Amanda Rhine, Crystal Augustine, Brittany Hessler, Justin Mangas, Gianna Mangas, Jayden Mangas and Jason Mangas; siblings, Tom Hazelwood, Claude Hazelwood, Jerry Hazelwood and Frankie Kinder and many other loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Day City Hospice in Joanna's honor.

Visitation will be December 3, 2022 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am with a service at 10:30 am at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Joanna will be laid to rest next to her husband of 44 years at Valley View Memorial Gardens following the service.
