Dorothy is survived by her daughters: Linda (Shawn) Levaggi, of Reno, NV, and Carol (David) Skaggs, of Huber Heights, Ohio; granddaughter: Veronica Levaggi, of Baraboo, WI; grandsons: Davin Tackett, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Hayden Tackett, of Oxford, Ohio; niece and nephews: Gary Young, Ron Young, and Lori Powers; and a host of relatives and friends.
Dorothy was the widow of a soldier and sister of two soldiers, and she herself served as a Rosie the Riveter during WWII. On August 20, 1960 she married Oscar A. Silverberg. She was a 20 year member of the Seven Hills Chapter of Sweet Adelines with her sister Ruth and many friends. Dorothy was also involved for many years with the Alpha to Omega Doll Club of Dayton, Ohio with her sister in law, Wanda Young.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 9:00am to 10:00am at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. A memorial service will follow at 10:00am.
