In Memory Of
Michael Jon Dorsten
1962 - 2022

Michael Jon Dorsten, age 59 of Beavercreek, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Soin Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born December 21, 1962 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Charles and Joan (Kappen) Dorsten.

Mike worked as a Sales Representative for 35 years in the HVAC Industry for Allied Supply, Grainger, and most recently as the Carrier Rep for Habegger Corp. He enjoyed spending time at Shanghai Resort at Norris Lake with his lake family. He will be remembered for his love of tinkering in his garage and yard as well as cheering for his beloved Buckeyes. Mike had a larger than life personality, a contagious smile and laughter that would light up the room when he walked in. He never knew a stranger.

Mike is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kelly; children, Amanda (Sam) Higgins & Kyle (Thalia Wynne) Dorsten; sister, Debbie (Alan) Konsoer; brother-in-law, Scott (Debbie) Freer; niece and nephews, Alex (Sarah), Max & Carlie Freer & Zach Konsoer and aunt, TJ Lynn.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Mike's honor to Tree of Life USA, an orphanage and ministry in Benin, Africa operated by close family friends, Jon and Ashley Barchus, at www.treeoflifeusa.org

Visitation will be Monday, January 17, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a Celebration of Life at 4:00 pm with Pastor Sheila Slone officiating at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).
