In Memory Of
John Zimmerman
1951 - 2021
John worked as a meat cutter for 30 years. He retired from Hartzell Propeller in Piqua after 22 years of service and dedication.
John loved fishing and feeding the birds in his spare time. He enjoyed laying in his hammock in the warm sun. He would always say, "I'm living the dream." John didn't know how to use his smart phone, except to check the stock market and the weather.
He always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. More than anything, John loved his grandchildren and they loved him.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Ann Stoudt; sister, Barbara Kavy; and brother, Thomas Zimmerman.
John will always be loved and missed by his wife of 49 years, Judy Zimmerman; children: John (Cathy), Jay (Melissa) and Janelle (Jason); grandchildren: Whitney, DJ, Kenedi, Chase, Mia, Sadie and Ali; brothers and sisters: Donald (Elysee) Zimmerman, Geraldine (Bill) Slattery, Carolyn (Daniel) Grossman, Shirley (John) Carlin, Sherry Zimmerman, James (Vicky) Zimmerman, Tony (Monica) Zimmerman, Mary Ann (Carl) Paulus, Christine (Dwayne) Durr, Rita Zimmerman, Leona (Angelo) Manzo and Joe (Lisa) Zimmerman; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 11:00 am on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30 am at St. Peter Catholic Church, 6161 Chambersburg Road, Huber Heights, Ohio. Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
