Robert Lee "Peanut" Fillmore, age 69 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away at his home on Sunday, November 21, 2021. He was born on Saturday, August 2, 1952 in Louallen, Kentucky to the late Robert and Betty (Huskey) Fillmore.

Peanut was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Betty Fillmore, his sister Christine "Chris" Truesdale, his 3 brothers, Olan, Estel, and Michael Fillmore, and his brothers-in-law, Joe Truesdale and Rick Harper.

He is survived by his four sisters: Pamela McTeer, Shirlen Dreyer, Theresa Scott, and Peggy Harper; a special, beloved nephew who was like a son to him, Devon Faris; his beagle, Sassy; 15 nieces and nephews; 39 great nieces and nephews; 10 great-great nieces and nephews; his girlfriend, Mary Strader; and many other family and friends.

Peanut was a heavy equipment and a car mechanic all of his adult life. He retired from Jergan Construction on Brandt Pike after 35 years. He was a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and just sitting in his garage.

He was deeply loved by all and he will truly be missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to a veterinarian or animal shelter of your choice.

A visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am on Friday, December 3, 2021 in the chapel at Miami Corwin Cemetery, 6379 Corwin Ave, Waynesville, Ohio, where a funeral service will begin at 11:00am.
