Dan C. Wendling, age 74, of Vandalia, passed away on October 20, 2021. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on September 27, 1947, the son of the late George Wendling and Martha Wendling.

He was preceded in death by his father; and his brother, Richard Wendling.

Dan is survived by his Daughter, Shannon Hufford; mother, Martha Wendling; siblings, Donna (the late Willie) Gaw, Patty (Cliff) Pack, George (Colleen) Wendling, Ed (Karen) Wending, Doug Wendling, Eugene Wendling and Carol (Tommy) Golden; grandchildren, Chrissy and Tyler; and many other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Dan served his country proudly by serving in the United States Army, where he was a heavily decorated Soldier. In his free time, he adored spending time with his dogs.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm, on Monday, November 1, 2021, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, where Funeral Services will begin at 1:00pm, with Eugene Wendling officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
