1950 - 2021

Gerald Patrick "Pat" Wheeler, age 71, of Huber Heights, passed away on September 10, 2021, at the Dayton VA Medical Center. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on February 21, 1950.

Pat is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Sandra Wheeler; his dear children, Joshua (Tonia) Wheeler, Jeremy Wheeler and Jessica Wheeler; his loving parents, Mary & Tony Boderone; sisters, Mary (Ken) Wills and Linda (Jim) Brannon; sister-in-law, Cindy Wheeler; brother-in-law, Ron Baker; step-sisters, Rosemary (Nick) Nickerson and Connie; step-brother, Tony (Donna) Boderone; and many other loving aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Wheeler; grandparents, Fred & Faye Wheeler; and brothers, Jack F.Wheeler, Michael Wheeler and Thomas Wheeler.

He served his country proudly by serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the Bronze Star with Valor. Pat was very proud of his country and held a deep love for it. He retired after many years as a Truck Driver with a variety of industries. In his free time, he loved to play golf (when his health allowed), shooting pool and spending time with family and friends. Pat was a good-hearted person, even playing Santa for disabled children. He was always there for those he loved and will be greatly missed by everyone.

Graveside Services will be held at Dayton National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 2:30pm. Everyone is to meet a Assembly Area "B" in the cemetery.
