In Memory Of
Patricia I. "Trish" Rhea
1951 - 2021
“Trish” lived a life of service beginning as a volunteer chairman of the pie tent at the Preble County Pork Festival, a first aid volunteer at C.R. Coblentz Middle School, a candy striper supervisor at Reid Memorial Hospital, a 4-H advisor and parade chairman at the Preble County Fair and a volunteer seamstress for the Eaton High School Drama Club. Trish spent many years traveling as a volunteer missionary to a small orphanage in Haiti and hosted missionaries and children in her home here during times of unrest and devastation. In later years, when her age and health no longer allowed for foreign travel, she made feeding those in need and the homeless shelter her mission. Always giving her “first fruits” so they would feel loved.
Trish is preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Myron J. Peer on August 23, 1993. She is survived by her husband Steven J. Rhea of Eaton, whom she married on May 6, 2000; daughters Melissa (Blake) Duffie of Eaton and Marci (Robert) Marcus of New Madison; grandchildren Ben (Danielle) Duffie, Matthew (Roseanna) Duffie, Michael Marcus and Jonathan Marcus; also Amanda (Chris) Meckstroth; great grandchildren Eleanor and Emma; also Jackson, Dixie, Corwin and Alivia; a special aunt Violet Farmer of Eaton; sister Kathy Maggie of Arcanum; numerous cousins and many honorary children & grandchildren affectionately calling her Mamaw Trish.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 4 to 6 pm at Eaton First Church of God, 601 E. Lexington Rd, Eaton, OH. Pastor Aaron Holman will officiate the Memorial Service at 6:00 pm.
