In Memory Of
Chin Sook "Lee" Sampson
1928 - 2021
In the early hours of the morning, the fiercest (and tiniest) 93 year old we knew went home to her Jehovah. Unwavering in her faith, unyielding in her work, and undistinguishing in her love-she never once made anyone feel any less than family. She leaves behind a legacy and heritage to be proud of, and a determined commitment to independence that we can only hope to achieve. Chin is the Matriarch and the backbone of the family and always will be. She will be forever loved and greatly missed.
Chin is survived by her five daughters, Margaret (Steve) Barlage, Nancy (Ronnie) Lowe, Marian Drees, Mary (Michael) Sparks and Carla Sue Sampson; twelve grandchildren, Jamie (Cesar Cammon) Sampson, Donna (Chris) Genelin, Jessica (Lance) Frasier, Gina (Jimi) Turlington, Bryan Barlage, Jana (Ben) Gibson, Joe Barlage, Danielle (Ricky) DeBorde, Lindsey (Garth) McLean, Billy Drees, Kaylei Lowe and Michael Drees; eighteen great grandchildren, Danielle, Destiny, Trinity, Ayriana, Autumn, Bryson, Jackson, Myla, Reagan, Gavin, Emma, Hank, Corbin, Ellie, Noah, Gus, Bennett and Maverick; a sister, Yong Suk Park; two brothers, Tok San (Doug) Yi and In San Yi; and other numerous family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 47 years, Marion; a sister, Hun Sook Park; a brother, Hak San (James) Lee.
A Celebration of Chin's Life will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. A Memorial Celebration will follow at 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
