Fred proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 26 years. He retired at Wright Patterson Air Force Base Ohio. He was a dedicated servant of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He will be remembered for his friendliness, humor, stubbornness and infectious laugh. He was a true storyteller, with his tall tales. He was a devoted husband, father and Lolo grandpa who will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, Orlando Thompson and mother, Agnes Thompson.
Fred is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rizalina; children, Orlando (Deborah) Thompson, Jack (Cynthia) Thompson, Boyd Thompson, JoyLynn (Sean) McLaughlin, Fritz Thompson, Fred (Timber) Thompson Jr. & Mitchell (Chelsea) Thompson; grandchildren, Jessica, Robbie, Daniel, Christy, Christopher, Amanda, Ethan, Zoe, Fiona, Corey, Hannah, Tyler, Cora & Layla; siblings, Marie, Archie & Henry; and many other loving family members and friends.
Memorial donations can be made to Grace Hospice or Dayton Area on Aging in Fred's honor.
Visitation will be held Saturday June 12th from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Mass will follow at 10:00 am. He will be laid to rest on Monday June 14, 2021 at 9:30 am at Dayton National Cemetery.
