Louis Donald "Don" Watson, age 88, of Riverside, passed away on May 12, 2021, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Pickaway County, Ohio on July 28, 1932, the son of the late Carey and Esther Watson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 60 years, Christine Watson; and his sister, Colleen Dace.
Don is survived by his dear sons Shayne S. (Karen) Watson and Shawn D. (Dawn) Watson; granddaughter, Leah (Josh) Ulrich; siblings, Betty (Eugene) Richardson and Roscoe (Beverly) Watson; best friend, Jerry Hatmaker; and many other loving family and friends.
He served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Don worked for many years as a Plat Manager in the Construction business, retiring as a Cabinet Maker. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, boating and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021, from 5pm-7pm, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH.
