Carol Louise Deskins, age 95, of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 28, 2021.

She was born October 3, 1925 in Urbana, Ohio to the late John C. and Beulah M. (Carpenter) Keeran. Carol was a 1944 graduate of Salem High School in Kingscreek, Ohio. In her early adult years she worked at the Farm Bureau and later, Mound Printing. She was a very active longtime member of Miamisburg Church of the Nazarene. Where she taught Sunday School, sang in choir, served as a Steward on the Church Board and was Church Treasurer for 40 years.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Carlos A. Deskins, grandson, Michael A. Miller, brothers, Ralph, Albert, Jim and Bill, and sisters, Edith and Catherine.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda (Mike) Miller, Judy (Rick) Hurt; son and daughter-in-law, Don (Jan) Deskins; 12 grandchildren, Justin, Erin, Brandon, Jess, Rebekah, Anna, Summer, Adam, Sarah, Caleb, Christian and Shenandoah. Carol is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren and one on the way, 1 great-great-grandchild and one on the way; brother and sister-in-law, Roy (Shirley) Keeran and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Carol loved her grandchildren and attended numerous sporting events and activities. She also enjoyed cake decorating, sewing, swimming, gardening and canning what she harvested. Carol was known as a “Great Cook” and willingly shared many of her special recipes with others.

Carol will always be remembered for her kind and loving spirit, and her fun loving and easy going nature. She leaves behind a legacy of love.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at Miamisburg Church of the Nazarene, 1216 Richard Street, Miamisburg. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memorial Gardens.
