James A. McKinley, age 75 of Fairborn, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021. He was born June 8, 1945 in San Francisco, California, to the late Waldo and Julia Kathaleen McKinley.

James was a graduate of Trotwood Madison High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Throughout his life, James was a jack of all trades. He worked as a firefighter at the Jefferson Township Station #2 for many years, Dimco Gray, and also drove for RTA. James was a member of the National Rifle Association. James loved his grandsons and all of his family members dearly and was an animal lover.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn and brother, Bobby McKinley.

James is survived by his daughter, Barbara McKinley McNeer; grandsons, Dylan and Zakary; brother, Larry Mike McKinley; many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends who loved him dearly.

Family will receive friends Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Burial Evergreen Cemetery. The state of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order where masks are required in all public places.
