Joan R. Meyers, age 84 of Kettering, Ohio departed this life peacefully at home on Monday, January 11, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 21, 1936 in Dayton, Ohio daughter of the late Elbert and Mary Sanders.

Joan was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved to being outside gardening. She enjoyed working on Cross Word Puzzles, coloring, and most importantly spending time with her family. Joan is going to be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband Jack, of 56 years; brother, Dale Sanders; sister, Donna Zajovits; and her twin sister June Fleck.

Joan is survived by her loving children, Jeff (Rhonda) Meyers of Kettering, and Jill (Kenny) Froehlich of Kettering; grandchildren, Jackie (Adam) Thomas, Kristie Froehlich, Nick (Gabi) Meyers, Kyle (Jessica) Froehlich, Caitilin Froehlich; great grandchildren, Roman and Declan Meyers, Layla Froehlich; brother, Thurman Sanders; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

The family would like to thank friend, Ange for all her love and support. As well as Heartland Hospice Care of Kettering for the love and care they showed Joan.

Joan asked only for a graveside services and wants all of you to know she will see you again someday. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Joan's honor to Heartland Hospice care of Kettering (580 Lincoln Park Boulevard, Suite 320 Kettering, Ohio 45429).

Graveside services to be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 11:00am at Mt. Zion Park (27 South Fairfield Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45440).
