Jackie is survived by her husband of 33 years, Chris Roberts; daughters: Elizabeth Gillen (Will) and Stephany Roberts (Cody Dill); sisters-in-law: Mary Swartz and Mechelle Derlich (Don); brothers-in-law: Tim Roberts (Beth) and Scott Roberts (Robin); father-in-law, Dan Roberts; step-mother, Connie Swartz; many step-brothers, step-sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Jackie grew up in Covington, Ohio. She graduated from Covington High School and Miami University. She started her radio career at WPTW in Piqua, Ohio and worked at WHIO Radio in Dayton, Ohio for 32 years, working her way up to Director of Regional Traffic for Cox Media Group. Jackie earned the respect and admiration of all of her work associates through her wonderful work ethic, attention to detail, and passion for her work. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her flower garden, watching football, and watching the birds in her bird feeders.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 6-8 pm on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 E. National Road, Vandalia. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery in Covington, Ohio. Contributions may be made in Jackie's memory to the American Heart Association.
