Dale McCabe, age 86 of Dayton, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center. He was born January 13, 1934 in Clarksburg, Ohio, son of the late John and Julia McCabe. In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Wilma McCabe; siblings, Grover, Darlene, Jeanette and Jo Ann. Dale is survived by his son, Dale (Skip) McCabe; daughters, Robin (Joe) Bucalo, Cindy Skinner, Tammy (Mark) Richardson and Angi (Carl) Cotter; grandchildren, Mark Richardson, Julia Richardson, Tifani (Zachary Beaman) Kendig, Victoria (Justin Imler) Kendig, Colby Cotter and Casey Cotter; great grandson, Colton Imler; siblings, Juanita Gobel, John (Rose) McCabe and Bob McCabe and numerous other extended family members and friends.

Dale graduated from Frankfort High School in 1952. Dale worked for Sears Optical, Dayton as an optician for 30 years. He was also an employee of Christian Light Book Store, Trotwood for over10 years and served as their manager. Following retirement, he had also worked in sales for Kohls, Huber Heights..

Dale served as the pastor to the Brethren in Christ Fellowship. He was blessed to have been a part of Valley Street and Gethsemane congregations. Dale enjoyed his fellowship as Pastor of Gethsemane for over 20 years. His love of music led him to participate in the Tru-Lite Gospel Trio as a guitarist along with his wife and good friends, Jim and June Arp. In his spare time, Dale enjoyed church activities and doing repairs in his home.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.

The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face mask will be worn in all public places.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton at 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton OH 45420.
