Mary Elizabeth Vest, age 91 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully on October 16, 2020. She was born June 30, 1929 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late William and Emma Young.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved making quilts, doing crafts, and her word search puzzles. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Charles “Charlie” Vest.
Mary is survived by her children, Linda Garrett (Tenn), Susan Blaylock (Brookville), Charles Vest (AL), John Vest (Dayton), and William “Bill” Vest (Xenia); grandchildren, Raymond Rayburg (Versailles), Allan Monnin (Versailles), Robert Rayburg (Gordon), Andrew Vest (Spring Field), Sarah Vest (Xenia), Matthew Vest (Painesville), Stephanie Shane (Painesville), Jeff Garrett (Tennessee) and Bob Garrett (Illinois) and many more; 17 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren, brother, John Young (Florence); as well as numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 5-7pm at Newcomer Funeral Service Group (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Service Group Beavercreek, Ohio. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
