In Memory Of
Edward B. Danber
1939 - 2020
1939-2020
Age 80, Edward passed away Friday, September 18, 2020. Born in Chicago to the late Edward and Bernice (Norkus) Danber he was preceded in death by his uncle Vincent Norkus.
Ed was a proud graduate and active alumnus of St. Rita High School (Chicago) and the United States Naval Academy. He served during the Vietnam War and retired as a major from the U.S. Air Force.
He was an avid collector of many things, most particularly stamps, coins, beer cans, and Disney graphics. He was proud of his marathon completions, his Mensa membership, and his orchids. He visited every U.S. state and travelled the world, always looking forward to the next ski trip to Colorado or the French Alps or a walk along the Great Wall of China, and of course sampling the local brew or wine.
Ed is survived by his brother, the Reverend Bernard Danber of Chicago, his children Edward Danber, Thomas (Mary) Danber, Michael (Melanie) Danber, Sharon (John) Miller, and grandchildren Patrick (Kelley) Danber, Kyle Danber, Caleb Danber, Courtney Danber, Natalie Miller, Marcus Miller, and Mitchell Danber.
The family will hold a private service to celebrate Edward’s life and lay him to final rest in the Dayton National Cemetery.
