He is survived by his two sons, Rodney (Kim) West and Sean (Sheryl) West; grandchildren, Ashley West, Austin West, Sarah West, Isabella West, Holly West and Dalton West; sister, Carol (John) Ruble; nephews, Anthony and Brian Ruble; cousin, Donnie Howard; uncle, Jo (Ray) Lewis numerous extended family and dear friends.
James worked and retired from General Motors (Harrison Radiator) after 30 years of service. He enjoyed watching movies with his sons. James was an avid Cincinnati Reds, Bengals/OSU and NASCAR fan. James and Fran traveled to St. Petersburg, FL where they spent over 20 years having fun in the sunshine and staying at their condo. His greatest love was for his family, especially his grandchildren.
A special thank you to the neighbors that would visit James while he was home, bringing him home cooked meals. The family would also like to extend a thank you to Ohio Hospice for their utmost care and compassion they showed.
Family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, 45459). A private service and burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
If desired, donations may be made to Ohio Hospice, in James' memory.
