Tonia was a very dear friend of mine. Have known each other since J.R. High school. Lots of memories. She was ALWAYS their for me, and we did a lot together. She helped me greatly, and we would talk all the time.. I remember when she let me stay with her (many times) when i was going through very bad times. I loved to help her, with laundry, sweeping, cooking,.I remember ordering food for movie night. we loved it. I always enjoyed doing things for her and she for me. I've never had a friend like her. She always gave me good advise and most of the time I didn't follow it( stupid me). She was a wise, kind, stubborn and thoughtful woman . I loved her in our special way, and I will MISS her greatly, and have a emptiness in my heart.
I will Always love and miss you,

She was my friend. We went to school together. I know she was scared about her health. She was in and out of the hospital. I'm so saddened. She deserved better. Much too young. God bless my friend. Until we meet again.

So many memories with my friend of over 40 years. We would text or talk almost daily. Tonia had a HUGE heart and always helped or encouraged others. I’m feeling a little lost without you right now. I know you would be doing everything you could to be there for me during this time. I picked up my phone to call you yesterday, then remembered. I miss you my friend and I will see you on the other side. ??

Chris, Jason, and Karla, I will never forget living next to you and your mom on Monmouth Ave. and how she always welcomed all of the neighborhood kids into her home. She made us feel so welcome when we moved in. I remember her love for music as she was always playing her stereo loud. I loved it! She was such a fun person and loving person. I will never forget her! My prayers and love are with all of you!

You will be missed for the love you gave felt just by seeing your smile. You faced your own obstacles with grace inspiring others to live each day with everything you've got. Our world was better with your laugh. I'll remember your last birthday , our conversations and inside jokes. You inspired me to live my best life. Thank you for making this world better.

Tonia I will remember your kind soul always. When I first was going through my divorce and moved in to the same apartment building as you, you welcomed my son and I with open arms. Always a fresh cup of coffee and wonderful company. You got me through some rough times. I got my first tattoo with you, and every time I look at the butterfly I think of you. Every time I crochet something of course you are thanked for teaching me. I have many memories of you that I will hold close to my heart. Rest easy my friend. I love you.

We have been in each other's lives for a long time. Christopher was the son I never had. Even after years of losing touch you called when you found out I had cancer. After that we were back together again. We had so much fun and so many wonderful memories from watching Christopher play in his band to our trip to Tennessee. Losing my mom on July 3 and now losing you is a little more than I can handle. As I write this with tear filled eyes knowing I must let go..know you were my best friend, still are my best friend and always will be my best friend. This is not goodbye only see you later as we will meet again. I now have another empty place in my heart where you used to be. RIP my sweet friend. Your suffering is over. Wear those wings with pride. Until we meet again I love you with all my heart .
ALL MY LOVE..Lisa

R. I.P. Tonia no more suffering,
~ Sandra Buckner - July 30, 2020
I so enjoyed our phone talks, about our health, family, and just whatever came up in conversation. You touched so many people, being a friend, helping them find things they needed, or helping others give away things no longer wanted, or just lending an ear, when someone needed one. The old worn out body is gone now, spread your wings and fly my friend, go be free.

Tonia was the sweet person you could of ever met!!! I remember when I was younger and went to holy family she would always let us kids come over to hang out with her kids.. It was the neighborhood house to go to!! It was always so much fun!! Every year that I attend Holy Family on the last day of school she would play “schools out for the summer” so loud so we could all hear it!! She sat outside and said I will see you next year!!!! Since I’ve became a adult she was always check in commenting on my stuff to see how I’ve been doing... That’s just who she was!! She will definitely be missed..
