Loretta C. Hill, age 71 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 in Columbus, Ohio. She was born December 10, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio to the late James and Ruth Hamby.

Loretta was a graduate of Northridge High School. In her younger years, Loretta worked as a beautician and was later employed with Metaldyne Corporation.

Loretta was a life-long member of the VFW, American Legion and AMVETS Ladies Axillaries.

In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Zapata; brother, David Hamby; and sister, Louise (Lester) Jones.

Loretta will be missed by her loving husband, Terry; grandson, Nathan Zapata; step-daughters, Sherry (Jeff) Cartmell and Karen (Ken) Pfaff; step-grandchildren, Amanda Neville, Amanda (Rob) Ruuska, Ryan Rasnic and Cory Rasnic; two great-grandchildren, Landon Floyd and Rhett Rasnic; sister, Shirley Shannon; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 31, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Burial services will be held in Williamsburg, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Loretta's memory to the SPCA International https://www.spcai.org/donate
