He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, George Warren Dove and Clifford Dove; sisters, Mary Lou McMurtrey, Margaret Dunn and Tressa Foust.
Steve is survived by his beloved wife, Patty Dove; children, Stephanie Schoonover, Christopher Dove, Brian (Traci) McManaway, Christopher (Daniele) McManaway and Anthony McManaway; grandchildren, Jessica, Angel, Nikki, Garrett, Kaitlyn, Weslee, Christian, Kaylena, Dylan; 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Naomi Jacques and Charles (Connie) Dove; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He served his country proudly in the Navy through 2 tours of the Vietnam War. Steve retired from RTA after 30 years of employment, first as a Lineman then later in the Maintenance Department. He was a long time supporter of the Lions Club and had been a member for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and was a gunsmith. He also loved to build and fly his remote control planes. Riding his motorcycle was one of his favorite things to do. He was a great storyteller and beloved by his family and everyone who knew him, he will be dearly missed by everyone.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 8, 2020, from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, where Funeral Services will begin at 6:00 pm with his nephew Rev. Jack Dunn officiating.
