Virginia L. “Ginny” King, age 72 of Oakwood, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Kettering Medical Center. She was born May 24, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late George and Ruth Guthman. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years George D. King. She is survived by her daughter Kirstin Lentz, husband Timothy, and two beloved granddaughters Lillian and Eloise; sister Kathryn Thilman; and brother George Meyer-Guthman.

When not employed as Registrar for St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, you could find Ginny working on her beautiful cross stitch samplers, doing difficult crossword puzzles, or using her calligraphy skills. In former days her favorite pastime with her husband was sitting in the sun and boating on Lake Cumberland, KY. Always welcoming and organized, she took great joy in entertaining family and friends, setting beautiful tables during the holidays.

A virtual service will be live streamed on Saturday, July 11th at 11:00 am from St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Memorial Fund 33 W. Dixon Ave., Oakwood, Ohio 45419.

All are invited to a celebration of life at Ginny’s home on Saturday, July 11th from 4-6 p.m. This will be an informal gathering outside.
