Chris Urban Mowen, age 52 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020. He was born April 9, 1968 in Washington Courthouse, Ohio the son of Lester and Daisy Mowen.

Chris worked as a crane operator at Franklin Iron & Metal for over 20 years. His true passion was traveling, especially to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going on walks and bike rides, shooting, going to the casino and tinkering around in his garage. He always enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and his girlfriend. Chris was a wonderful father and grandfather and will be truly missed.

Chris is survived by his children, Christopher (Loren) Mowen & Chelsea (Matt) Mowen; his first love, Angela Mowen; girlfriend, Pat Hanes; grandchildren, Emily, Paisleigh, Freyja & Ellanor; siblings, Nancy (Greg) Hitchcock, Mike (Marcella) Brown, Lisa (Bill) Tipton, Dean (Sherri) Mowen, Kevin (Wanda) Mowen & Dennis (Tomi) Mowen, and numerous other loving family members & friends.

He is preceded in death by parents; brothers, Steve Brown & Dick Mowen; niece, Wendy Edgerley; nephew, Josh Mowen; great niece, Tasha Edgerley, and great nephew, J.W Edgerley.

Visitation will be June 27, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be held at a later date.
