Carol A. Hunter, age 74 of Dayton, passed away quietly at Hospice of Butler/Warren Counties on May 21, 2020. She was born on May 25, 1945 in Dayton to the late Emma Lou (Patterson) Stidham. In addition to her mother, Carol was preceded in death by siblings, Sandra Haddix and James Moore; brothers-in-law, Raymond Denius and Paul Theis; nephew, Charles Denius and niece, Jessica Stidham.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela (Frederick) Rachlow; grandchildren, Nicholas Rachlow, Mitchell Rachlow and Makenzie (Ross Bowman) Rachlow; siblings, Sharon Moore (Theis), Linda Denius and Larry Stidham and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Carol loved spending time with her family and friends, eating out at restaurants and relaxing with a good book. She was an avid animal lover having cared for several dogs and cats in her life. Carol enjoyed being retired and was very proud of her grandchildren and all of their accomplishments.
Family will receive friends for a memorial gathering from 1-3 PM on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, OH 45459). Weather permitting, a butterfly release will be at 3 PM at the funeral home.
