Bitzer, Ronald L. "Ronnie" age 66, of Medway, Ohio passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 23, 1953 to the late Elmer and Charlotte L. Bitzer (nee Schaefer).
He was preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Bitzer Ashley; and brother, Elmer Bitzer Jr..
Ronnie is survived by his beloved sister, Linda Bitzer Rolph; twin brother, Donald L. (Beth) Bitzer; a sister in law, Debbie Bitzer; nephews, Steve Ashley, Shawn Ashley, Scott Ashley, Chad Rolph, and Brian Bitzer; best friend, Merri Smith; honorary sister, Jan Bowersmith; close aunt, Rosella Dean; and a host of other family members and friends.
Ronnie worked hard to acquire his Associates Degree from University of Cincinnati in 1979 and then moved forward to achieve a Bachelor's Degree from Colorado University in 2007. He was a huge sports fan and supported his Cincinnati Reds, Bearcats, Bengals, and of course, Buckeye Football. Ronnie always had a positive attitude and has never let his disability define him.
Ronnie held many records for running before his accident that prevented him from walking again but that didn't stop him from racing. He continued the race of life and crossed the finish line as a winner. Ronnie was loved and will be missed, he will be greeting us at our own finish line into the here after.
